
Jack J. Deno passed away Friday, September 9 at 1:15 p.m. surrounded by his wife and children. He was born September 1, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur and Whilminia Deno. On June 7, 1980, he married Jayne Kunkler at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio,
Jack was a 1972 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, Columbus, Ohio. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana, Illinois. At The Ohio State University, Jack was president of Eta Kappa Nu, Gamma Chapter, Engineering Honor Society.
Jack worked for General Motors and Delphi for more than 30 years as an Electrical Engineer. In 1987, his twin sons, Daniel and David Deno were born, and they were the absolute delight of his life. He loved being a husband and Dad, and he was fun and loving in both roles. IN 1987, work took Jack and Jayne to Melbourne, Australia where they worked for General Motors for three years. Jack was a gifted magician and began working in a magic store in Columbus, Ohio as a young teenager. Magic was a life-long hobby and he entertained many during his lifetime. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Order of Merlin, for more than 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jayne, and sons, Daniel (Kristen Sciaccotta) and David, both of Chicago. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael (Darlene) of Mason, Ohio and Arthur (Julie) Greenville, Florida.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Elliott House located at 1200 West Sycamore, Kokomo, Indiana 46901.
